Our Projects and Initiatives

  • CNA Certification Classes With Agape Schools

We are partnered up with Agape Schools to incorporate a 3-hour Positive Approach to Care (PAC) curriculum into the CNA trainings of Northern Michigan. PAC is a Teepa Snow approach to care that teaches the tools to care for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Patients. The training is integral in creating a healthy and positive environment for Alzheimer’s patients and educating caregivers on methods of care that foster positivity, safety, and trust.

  • FREE Community Workshops

ATC is offering free Positive Approach to Care workshops, available to anyone in the Northern Michigan community. Caring for people with Alzheimer’s is tough, emotionally and physically. Through this workshop we hope to connect the dots between the physical changes that are happening and new ways to navigate caring for these individuals using Positive Physical Approach and Hand Under Hand care.

  • Care Facility Training and PAC Certification

Alzheimer’s education and training is essential within care facilities to ensure proper resources and safety measures for Alzheimer’s patients. We are partnering with local care facilities to train staff on Positive Approach to Care (PAC) and help them achieve PAC certification through Teepa Snow. Teepa Snow Certified facilities are among the most esteemed in the nation for Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Achieving this certification not only strengthens staff education but also enhances facility credibility and notability. If you are a care facility interested in gaining this certification or any level of staff training, please reach out!
